Film

Film is a double-edged topic in the Shreveport-Bossier area. You might want to watch the latest film or you might choose to participate in making the latest film project to arrive from Hollywood. We shall let you chase the stars and movie production companies on your own. The finished product, ready to consume, is what we must help you find. Tinseltown and Regal Cinema are marvelous chain theaters who are assiduously trying to meet the needs of a broad market. Happily, they've tried a niche market in projecting the Metropolitan Opera broadcasts. It has drawn full houses, we're told.

Downtown, there is the new independent theater, Robinson Film Center; it features all the films that the major theaters might not show. Minicine? shows edgy, sub-independent work at various places downtown. Centenary College has the Centenary Film Society and the other colleges also spotlight film presentations. Today, more than ever, this area can take care of a broad range of film cravings.
