Bossier Arts Council

The Bossier Arts Council's comprises the East Bank Gallery, East Bank Theater, an educational center and administrative center. The BAC's goal is to provide art services, programming, and opporunities for all Bossier Parish citizens, as well as the same throughout Northwest Louisiana.

Bossier Parish has access to four institutions of higher education, excellent K-12 schools, and attractive opportunities for recreation, including Red River, Centurytel Center, numerous lakes, superb shopping centers, and family-oriented fairs and festivals.


 

Hours
9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
East Bank Theatre productions necessitate additional hours of operation and vary by production.

Admission
Varies, depending upon event. Note: East Bank Gallery is open daily at no charge.

Across the street from L’Italiano Restaurant b) Driving directions; arriving from the East, Take I-20 West, take EXIT 19B TRAFFIC ST, turn RIGHT into TRAFFIC ST, turn RIGHT onto BARKSDALE BLVD, approximately 3 blocks on right, large white statue in front of building. Across the street from L’Italiano Restaurant Parking is available across the street from L’Italiano Restaurant, in front of BAC building, and in back of BAC building

Other Information
The Bossier Arts Council has six major areas of programming: 1.East Bank Gallery 2.East Bank Theatre 3.Arts in Education 4.Public Art 5.Bossier Arts Council Re-grants 6.Classes and Workshops. The Bossier Arts Council's main building is on the National Registrar of Historical Buildings. Originally named the Municipal Building in 1926, the structure was used for courtroom activity and jailing. The city's only fire station was located on the lower floor of the main building.
