Bossier Parish Library Historical Center
The Bossier Parish Library Historical Center exhibits, research area (and archives) and a public meeting room that seats approximately 75. We periodically produce cultural programs for all ages.
To "preserve the history of Bossier Parish for the people of Bossier parish" is the mission of the Bossier Parish Library Historical Center. This mission determines that we acquire and preserve items of lasting value concerning parish history and culture. Our collection includes genealogical and historical information, including oral histories, thousands of photographs and images, and historical objects, all with ties to Bossier Parish. We also create and maintain long-term and rotating exhibits in the Historical Center.
We participate with other area cultural organizations to present local history programs and exhibits to the community. We provide research and reference services. We celebrate Archaeology Week annually with a public program. As director of the Bossier Parish Library Historical Center, Ann Middleton, I extend to you a special invitation to visit the center, enjoy the exhibits, peruse the archives, search our database and take pride in what is uniquely Bossier.
