River City Repertory Theatre
River City Repertory Theatre, Shreveport-Bossier City's first professional theatre sanctioned by Actors' Equity, produces comedies, dramas and musicals combining the best of national and local talents. RCRT currently stages its shows at either the Scottish Rite Cathedral or the Strand Theatre, both located in downtown Shreveport. Plans are to move into its own theatre, also downtown, in the fall of 2009.
The latest from River City Rep: its newly-formed, RCRT YOUTH!, the company's training division for area youths. Backed by the instruction of actors Logan Sledge, Trey Jackson and Seva May, the youth division offers training in acting and musical theater.
